    Alyssa Bolger, Physical Therapist

Coaching volleyball can be similar to physical therapy to this Johnston native. Be clear on the game plan, be encouraging, and help the players-or patients-develop skills and responsibility for long-term success. Recovery is a team effort, and it’s not always quick. “I like to make a positive impact in patients’ lives, help them realize the little steps they are taking when they have trouble seeing the big picture, and give them tools to help themselves.” Alyssa joined JPT in 2014 after graduating from Marquette University. She played various sports growing up, and has carried this active-mindset into the clinical setting. She focuses on a functional, whole-body approach to facilitate a healthy lifestyle. She coaches volleyball, enjoys outdoor activities, and spending time with her family.
